I am a mixed media artist and ceramicist working from my studio in Mid Wales. My practice is shaped by a background in graphic design and teaching visual communication and 3D design. These experiences have instilled a strong focus on composition, texture and process, elements that are central to my work today.

In my painting practice, I begin with collage, layering paint and fillers before selectively removing material to reveal underlying textures and forms. This method of adding and erasing creates surfaces that feel weathered, echoing natural processes of erosion and decay.

My ceramics practice explores both hand-built and wheel-thrown forms. I’m drawn to clay’s ability to hold traces of touch and time, often layering watery underglazes and rubbing them back to expose texture, much like my painting process.

Whether on canvas or in clay, my work embraces imperfection, celebrating the beauty found in organic, evolving surfaces.
